Signings Arsenal must complete to be competitive as they submit £40m bid for midfielder

Signings Arsenal must complete to be competitive next season as they submit £40m bid for a midfielder.

Arsenal seems to be having a successful business this summer transfer window.

Last season highlighted the need to improve in various areas to compete and the management seems to be working on the task.

The Gooners have already signed Fabio Vieira, Maquinhos, and Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City being the latest super addition.

Signings Arsenal should make

Arsenal seems to have strengthened their striking though getting another striker as an option who be ideal for the club.

Like to get the option to cross it in the box and have a big target man to hit. An Olivier Giroud type of player, especially with 5 subs next season is something that might help break opposition teams.

Another area Arsenal must improve is the defence line with William Saliba also back.

So far, Gunners have been linked with Lisandro Martinez, who is a versatile player most likely choice to cover left-back, which has been a huge problem for Arsenal.

Then there’s midfield where Arsenal desperately needs an improvement on Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey injury issues.

Arteta’s side has been linked with Tielemans and lately Milinkovic-Savic to whom the club has submitted a bid.

Arsenal bid for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

According to reports, Arsenal have submitted bids to try and sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder has two years remaining on his contract.

Since joining Lazio, Milinkovic-Savic has made 334 appearances across all competitions, scoring 67 goals and assisting with 53.

Milinkovic-Savic’s agent, Mateja Kezman, insists his client will not stay in Rome and is looking for a move away.

The Italian outlet, Il Messaggero explains that Arsenal have submitted an offer for the 27-year-old that is thought to be between €50m and €55m (£47m).

However, the offer has been rejected, with the Serie A side wanting a fee closer to £69m.

The report also suggests that Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri has tried to push the midfielder towards Chelsea in a swap deal for Emerson and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, but negotiations are not heated yet.
