Sir Alex Ferguson spotted at Manchester United’s Carrington training base during Cristiano Ronaldo crunch talks.
Cristiano Ronaldo has arrived at Carrington for crunch talks with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.
And as talks takes place, it appears that former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will also be involved in the discussion.
Sir Alex Ferguson was seen arriving at Manchester United’s Carrington training base as Cristiano Ronaldo prepared for crunch talks with Erik ten Hag over his future.
It is not clear whether the legendary United manager will be involved in the meeting.
Ronaldo had earlier announced that he wants to leave Old Trafford this summer and join a side competing in the Champions League.
He is yet to train with the Red Devils this pre-season and didn’t accompany his teammates on their pre-season tour due to personal reasons.
He arrived at Carrington on Tuesday alongside his agent Jorge Mendes.
Meanwhile, as per Spanish outlet AS, Cristiano Ronaldo is returning to Manchester United this week to inform the club’s hierarchy of his decision to leave.
The Portuguese forward returned to Manchester on Monday, July 25.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner spoke to new manager Erik ten Hag a few weeks ago but wasn’t convinced by the project at the club.
Ronaldo has been linked with several clubs this summer, including Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Barcelona, Napoli, AS Roma and even a Saudi Arabian side.
However, only Atletico and Bayern seem like realistic options.
