Three South Eastern Kenya University students die in late-night road accident in Kitui.
Three male students from SEKU University, located in Kwa Vonza, Kitui County died on the spot following a road accident last night.
According to the area chief of Kwa Vonza, Ronald Mbuvi, the three were riding on a motorcycle from the university to their residence in Kwa Vonza when they crashed into the back of a sand truck that had been parked by the roadside due to a mechanical failure.

Police officers from the Kwa Vonza Police Station arrived at the accident scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
Their preliminary reports suggest that poor visibility and the truck’s position may have contributed to the crash.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been taken by the officers to the Kitui Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.
