Todd Boehly wants bold Chelsea signings

Chelsea signings; Todd Boehly wants bold signings as the club looks to rebuild under the new management this summer transfer.

The transfer market opens in three days, and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is gearing up for reconstruction.

Given the interruption, the German coach has stressed that it is not just about enhancing the roster in order to catch up to the Premier League’s top.

The Blues have a new ownership group this summer, led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, tasked with financing the team’s aspirations.

Marina Granovskaia is reported to have £200 million to work with, albeit that amount may include player sales, and Stamford Bridge could be busy with players moving in both directions in the summer of 2021.

With the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, this summer transfer window will be pivotal for Chelsea.

There will be several players who will be looking over their shoulders about their long-term futures, while the whole structure of the club from a financial point is likely to change.

Things are slowly starting to tick over now at Chelsea with the new owners in place and plans being discussed all last week.

The new owner Todd Boehly looks set to back Thomas Tuchel in the window and make sure he brings him some of the signings that he wants to see, with a lot of talk about one or two marquee signings arriving.

The Daily Mail reported that Boehly ‘wants tome bold signings’ at Chelsea this summer.
