Top performing governors and MPs; report

A new performance report by Infotrak has revealed the most performing Governors and Members of Parliament (MPs) between October - December 2024

A new performance report by Infotrak has revealed the most performing Governors and Members of Parliament (MPs) between October – December 2024. 

According to the report, Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata emerged as the best-performing county leader with a score of 68%. 

He was followed by Trans-Nzoia Governor George Natembeya, who secured a performance rating of 64% while Governor Gladys Wanga of Homa Bay County ranked third with 61%.

Kisumu Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o came in fourth with 59% while in fifth place were Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. and Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wisley Rotich, both tying with a score of 57%.

In the parliamentary rankings, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino topped the list with a remarkable 72% approval rating. 

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro followed closely in second place with a score of 71%.

Kabuchai MP Joseph Simiyu and Kathiani MP Robert Mbui shared the third position, each scoring 62%. 

The fifth spot was tied among three legislators, Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, Sirisia MP John Waluke and Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, all scoring 61%. 

Meanwhile, in the Senate, Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo and Kirinyaga Senator Kamau Murango emerged as the best-performing senators, both securing a score of 52%.  

Murang’a Senator Joe Nyutu and Busia Senator Okiya Omtatah tied in third place, each with a performance rating of 50%. 

On the other hand, Nyandarua Senator John Methu and Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka ranked fourth with 49% each.

Kitui Senator Enoch Kiio Wambua and Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi secured the fifth position, both with a score of 48%.

Further, in the Women Representatives category, Kirinyaga Woman Representative Jane Njeri Maina ranked first with an impressive score of 52%.  

Makueni Woman Representative Rose Museo followed in second place with 46%. 

Homa Bay Woman Representative Bensuda Osogo Atieno and Kakamega Woman Representative Elsie Muhanda tied in third place, both scoring 45%. 

West Pokot Woman Representative Rael Kasiwai Chepkoech and Kisumu Woman Representative Ruth Odhiambo Busia shared the fourth position, each with a score of 43%.  

Lamu Woman Representative Monicah Muthoni Marubu secured the fifth spot with a score of 41%.
