TSC maximum number of slots a teacher should apply in the upcoming nationwide recruitment process.
Teachers Service Commission is seeking to recruit 35,000 teachers in both primary and secondary schools starting January 2023.
According to the notice shared on Friday, December 9, the mass recruitment of teachers will curb the shortage across the country.
“TSC invites applications from qualified candidates to fill the vacancies to support the implementation of Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC),” read part of the notice.
Among the offered positions were 1,000 positions for elementary school teachers and 9,000 positions for secondary school teachers with permanent and pensionable terms of service.
Additionally, TSC offered 4,000 positions in primary schools and 21,550 positions for teachers’ internships.
In an advertisement open to all, all unemployed teachers can apply once the website is open to receive applications.
Unlike in previous years, all applications will be done online.

In previous years, the online program limited teachers to only three schools in each category.
However, crowdsourcing wants to increase the number of applications per category to five.
If the old criteria are used, the two categories will have a maximum of six schools per teacher.
If the new construction is adopted, ten schools in two open categories will be judged by a single teacher, namely experience and permanent and pension.
Candidates can apply for vacancies and are not limited to one district.
Interviews for primary and junior high school categories will be held on dates to be notified later based on district-specific timings.
