UDA MCA Julius Kipruto Keter is dead
Chemundu Ward MCA Julius Kipruto Keter is dead.
The MCA was known for his strong grassroots connection, often championing development projects in education, health, and infrastructure.
He was serving his first term and had quickly gained popularity across Nandi County for his commitment to community empowerment.
The Kenyan High Commissioner to Canberra, Australia, Wilson Kipngetich Arap Kogo, confirmed the passing, describing him as a hardworking and dedicated leader.

“I am saddened by the passing of my area MCA, Julius Keter, who was a hardworking leader. He served the people of Chemundu/Kapngetuny with zeal and dedication.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, colleagues, and the Chemundu/Kapngetuny electorate during this grieving period,” he stated.
Leaders and residents across the region have expressed shock and sadness, describing Keter as a humble and visionary leader whose contributions will be greatly missed.
This comes weeks after MCA for Purko Ward, Kajiado, Simon Mumeita Saitoti, passed away at the age of 42 while undergoing treatment on March 7.

Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku confirmed that Saitoti was admitted on February 26 and was scheduled for surgery, but remained in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) until he passed away.
“I have received in utter shock the sudden demise of Purko Ward MCA, Hon. Simon Saitoti, at a Nairobi hospital where he was undergoing treatment after a short illness,” Ole Lenku confirmed.
Ole Lenku noted that Saitoti’s death was a great loss not only to his family, friends, and the people of Purko but also to the entire political fraternity in the county.
He described him as a man who exemplified humility and servant leadership since his days in the disciplined forces.
