Uhuru ally, Kanini Kega lashes at Mt Kenya residents for failing the former president in his bid to endorse Raila Odinga.
EALA MP and Uhuru ally Kanini Kega has criticized Mount Kenyan residents for for failing to support President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kega said in a statement on Wednesday that the day will come when the region would understand how crucial Uhuru’s support was.
“My Boss and my friend. HE Uhuru Kenyatta C in C, Its just a matter of time that Mt. Kenya will realise you meant well for them,” the two-term MP said.
East African Legislative Assembly made the sentiments following President Kenyatta’s declaration to support the Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the August polls, 2022.
Uhuru has on several occasions urged the Mt Kenya region not to let him down in supporting the Azimio camp.

Despite Uhuru’s plea, the Mt Kenya resident overwhelmingly voted for UDA presidential candidate, now the president, William Ruto.
Kega, who was seeking a third-term in the August 9 polls, is among candidates who have conceded defeat.
However, Kega found a soft landing as he is among among nine elected to EALA MPs.
He was elected along side Kennedy Kalonzo, Winne Odinga, and Suleiman Shabaal in the Azimio camp.
