Former President Uhuru Kenyatta shares light moments with Musalia Mudavadi during inauguration of President Bola Tinubu in Nigeria.

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday met with Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi in Abuja, Nigeria.

The two leaders were in Nigeria to attend the inauguration of President Bola Tinubu.

Mudavadi was there to represent President William Ruto in the State ceremony.

Tinubu was sworn in on Monday, as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. 

According to pictures shared on the official Twitter handle of Uhuru, the two leaders looked ‘pleased’ to see each other.

Uhuru delivered a keynote address at the 2023 Presidential Inauguration Lecture held at the International Conference Centre in Abuja on Saturday.

In the event themed Deepening Democracy For Development, the former President urged Tinubu to unite all Nigerians despite their religion, tribe, political and other affiliations.

He said Kenya and Nigeria are committed to deepening their diplomatic and trade ties and enhancing mutual cooperation.

This is the second time the leaders have met in the month.

On May 7, the two met at the sidelines of the 11th high-level summit for peace and security for the Democratic Republic of Congo and the entire East Africa region as well.

The meeting was held in Bujumbura, Burundi.

Mudavadi had gone to represent President William Ruto.
