US-based human rights organization urges Raila to concede

US-based human rights organization; International Human Rights Foundation urges Raila to concede defeat.

International Human Rights Foundation has urged Azimio leader Raila Odinga to concede defeat in just concluded elections.

The Foundation asserted that the ODM leader must accept the results democratically claiming that the electoral body, IEBC held an open and transparent election.

The US-based human rights organization added that the August 9, elections were credible.

“The results of the Kenyan Election are clear and verified by the electoral authority (@IEBCKenya), which has proclaimed William Ruto president-elect,” the rights body tweeted.

“Let us trust in the constitutional system and the rule of law. Out of democratic responsibility, Mr Raila Odinga should concede.

“The official scrutiny made by the electoral authorities of Kenya points out that more than 50 per cent of all votes went to His Excellency Dr William Ruto.”

However, Raila Odinga rejected the presidential results announced by the IEBC declaring William Ruto as President-Elect.

The Azimio leader Chebukati announcement as “null and void” as he promised to challenge the IEBC results at the Supreme Court.
