Citizen TV renowned news anchor Victoria Rubadiri is set to leave Royal Media Services (RMS) after six years for a job position at CNN.

Royal Media Services (RMS)-owned Citizen TV is set to lose yet again one of its top-of-the-cream personalities.

New anchor Victoria Rubadiri is next to the exit door.

Sources privy to the development revealed the seasoned newscaster had already tendered her resignation, with the farewell party in her honour having been held the previous weekend.

“It is true she is leaving. She has served the notice, and we held a farewell for her Last week.” sources revealed.

Her last bulletin to present at Citizen TV would be the Sunday Live this Sunday, April 28.

Rubadiri is slated to start her career with the US’s Atlanta-based media giant Cable News Network (CNN).

She is to take up her new role as a correspondent for CNN.

Rubadiri joined Citizen in 2018, coming from Nation Media Group (NMG), where she had worked for NTV.

She joins other ranking newscasters and reporters who quit Citizen TV in less than a year to undertake new roles outside the newsroom.

The station lost Francis Gachuri to the Ministry of Interior, Hassan Mugambi to the Ministry of Defence, and Jemutai Goin to the Office of the Speaker of the National Assembly.
