Why I have joined the opposition coalition - Morara Kebaso

Political activist Morara Kebaso has announced that his Inject party has joined the opposition coalition

Political activist Morara Kebaso has announced that his Inject party has joined the opposition coalition.

In an update on Wednesday, March 5, Morara noted that the party’s role is not just to complain but to offer alternative solutions to Kenyans and ensure good governance is held high.

He stressed that the Inject party wants the youth to have opportunities to work and grow.

“Inject Party has joined the opposition coalition. Our job is not to complain about this or that & him or her. Our mission is to offer solutions. To ensure that the values and principles of good governance are held in high esteem. We want justice and opportunities for the youth to live, work, and grow,” Morara stated.

The activist expressed confidence that the opposition coalition will form the next government in the 2027 general election.

“Genz’s, we are the opposition now; in a short while, we will be the government. Let us walk into the room with confidence and change how things are done from the inside. As your leader, I commit to be an outstanding icon of integrity,” Morara added.

This comes after the opposition coalition held talks on Tuesday, March 4. The meeting was attended by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, People’s Liberation Party leader Martha Karua, and Safina Party leader Jimi Wanjigi.

DAP-Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa, Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka, and Morara were also present.

On Saturday, March 1, Gachagua hosted Morara and the two discussed the future of the country.

Taking to his X account after the meeting, Morara revealed that their discussions revolved around, among others, the economic wellness of Kenyans, and police brutality.

“I met with Rigathi Gachagua to discuss the reality of Kenyan politics and the practical steps that should be taken for meaningful reforms. We also discussed the issue of youth unemployment, economic exclusion, and human rights abuse.

“He shared with me his thoughts about what should be done to exact justice for victims of police brutality, abduction, and extrajudicial killings. I will continue to engage leaders from across the political, religious, and civic space in amplifying the voice of the youth in their quest for change,” he said.
