Why Kalonzo not fit to succeed Raila; Jimi Wanjigi

Jimi Wanjigi says Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is not fit to succeed Raila Odinga as the leader of the opposition
Jimi Wanjigi says Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is not fit to succeed Raila Odinga as the leader of the opposition.
Former presidential aspirant and businessman Jimi Wanjigi has dismissed Kalonzo Musyoka’s attempt to succeed Raila Odinga as the leader of the opposition
Speaking during a press conference on Sunday, March 3, Wanjigi criticized the former vice president’s candidacy and claimed he had nothing new to give.
Wanjigi said the Wiper leader ought to take the former prime minister’s lead and give up on political activism.
The businessman-turned-politician contended that long-standing politicians are a contributing factor to Kenya’s issues and should exit the political scene to make room for new leaders.

“Kalonzo Musyoka has hit the road positioning himself to take over leadership, but he should just take the cue from Raila and retire. He has nothing new to offer Kenyans and instead should usher in a new leadership in his own Wiper party,” Wanjigi said.
Wanjigi further slammed the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leadership for shifting their focus to Raila’s African Union Commission’s chairmanship position instead of fighting for the issues affecting Kenyans.
“What I don’t understand, however, is why since his (Raila) declaration, the people’s agenda, which we were made to believe, his coalition was championing, has been put on hold, and now the focus is on; if and when he takes the seat, who is going to benefit and how,” he added.
