Winnie Odinga, Raila’s daughter has claimed that her phones have been hacked ahead of Monday’s march to State House.

Winnie, who is also a member of the East Africa Legislative Assembly, asked Azimio supporters to meet in Nairobi Central Business District for the planned protests.

Taking to Twitter, Kenya’s representative to the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), regretted that the devices were completely unusable.

Winnie blamed President William Ruto for the occurrence, vowing to join the anti-government protests organized by her father today, Monday, March 20. 

“All electronics hacked! All completely unusable, all dead! Meet me in the streets! #RutoMustGo,” said Winnie.

Raila Odinga on Monday, March 20, announced that he will carry out his planned march to State House in a bid to present his petition to President William Ruto over the high cost of living affecting Kenyan citizens.

Security officers have been deployed to areas surrounding the State House in Nairobi and at different points in the Central Business District (CBD) in preparation for the Azimio protests. 

In addition, there was heightened security in areas considered to be an Azimio strongholds. 

Police had on Sunday declared the protests as illegal and not permitted.
