 Five thugs posing as policemen on February 14 attacked a woman in Mirera, Naivasha, and coerced her into taking out loans from different mobile apps. 

Narrating the ordeal on Sunday, February 18, she remarked that her car and electronics were also stolen during the encounter. 

She has since reported the matter to a police station in Naivasha but the thieves are yet to be apprehended. 

The woman recounted what transpired, saying that she went to check on her sleeping daughter after arriving home at 9:00 p.m. 

She then proceeded to take her dinner.

“I started eating when my caretaker called and told me to open the door, he was not feeling well, unbeknownst to me they had tied him and instructed him to call me,” she narrated. 

“On opening, I was pushed by one of them and ordered to lie down, another one went to bring my daughter from the bedroom.”

The woman explained that this was the beginning of a 6-hour ordeal which ended at 2:00 am when the thugs left her house with valuables. 

The lady explained that the thugs stole her phones and forced her to borrow from various mobile loan apps. 

According to a police abstract, the thugs stole two TVs (a 55-inch smart TV and 32 inch digital TV). 

Other valuables included; four mobile phones, a WiFi router and a smartwatch.

The lady estimated the value of the stolen goods at Ksh590,000.  

Six days after losing her car and valuables, police are yet to make any progress on the case.
