Leslie Muturi, the son of Attorney General (AG) Justin Muturi, has been released after being reportedly kidnapped on Saturday night in Nairobi’s Lavington area.
Muturi “had been found and released in a police station where he was kidnapped,” according to a Sunday statement to the public by his close friends who had raised alarm following his reported abduction.
Officials revealed that Leslie, 40, was reportedly taken to the ATPU offices in Upper Hill where he was detained and questioned for hours.
A family spokesman said Leslie was released at about 6.30 pm.
This was after his family had been informed of his release.

Embakasi West MP Mark Mwenje revealed in a video that Leslie had been abducted and his car had been abandoned by the road.
He was reportedly confronted by unidentified individuals shortly after leaving a lounge on Dennis Pritt Road.
They dragged him from his car and bundled him into a getaway vehicle, which sped away immediately.
The motive for the businessman’s kidnapping remained unknown, fueling speculation on social media, where debate over the Finance Bill 2024 has been rife.
