Arsenal fans; “Our club is so shameless, should be renamed Interested Fc

Arsenal fans are a disappointed lot after a Newcastle bid was accepted for the long-time Gunners target.

Newcastle United have reportedly had a proposal approved for Bruno Guimaraes, a Brazilian midfielder who Arsenal fans are anxious to sign this month.

Lyon has reportedly accepted a £30 million deal from Newcastle United for Bruno Guimaraes, causing outrage among Arsenal supporters.

Guimaraes has been on Arsenal’s radar for some time, but Eddie Howe’s wealthy relegation-battlers appear to have beaten them to the punch.

After impressing in Ligue 1 since joining Lyon from Brazilian club Athletico Paranaense two years ago, the 24-year-old has been widely linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months.

“Our club is so shameless in the transfer market,” tweeted one Arsenal fan.

“We are interested in signing every player but we end up signing nobody Bruno, Locatelli, Isak etc… We should be renamed Interested FC.” another one wrote.

“A well-organized and well-run club knows what they’re going to do in December so that when January gets here they do their business nice and early. We have 18 days till the next game, which would’ve been perfect to introduce some new players and get them settled. But we dither, ” tweeted another.

The news comes at a horrible moment for Arsenal supporters, who have had a difficult few weeks watching their team score only once in their last six games.

In a second blow, rumors in Italy claim that Juventus are close to signing Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic, whom Arsenal had been eyeing as a possible replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is currently in exile.

It’s unclear whether Guimaraes would be interested in a move to St James’ Park, though it’s been said that the north-east side would be willing to triple his pay to seal the deal.

The Magpies were active in the January transfer window, although many offers for players were turned down, owing to the uncertainty surrounding their future in the Premier League.

A deal for Sevilla defender Diego Carlos fell through at the last minute, but the team did manage to complete deals for Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood.
