Arsenal wrapping-up another signing as they submit a formal bid

Arsenal wrapping-up another signing as they submit a formal bid for Lille star player Edon Zhegrova.

Mikel Arteta is looking to add another signing after completing Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos, and Gabriel Jesus signings.

However, the Gunners’ management is aware that more players are needed if Arsenal is to manage the additional games this season as a result of qualifying for the Europa League, and it looks Arteta is still looking for another attacker.

Raphinha has been closely associated with Arsenal in recent weeks, but it appears that the North Londoners are considering other options as Chelsea and Barcelona appear to be leading the fight to capture the Leeds United star.

And according to the Mirror, Arsenal have submitted a formal offer worth around £6m for Lille winger Edon Zhegrova.

The 23-year-old made his reputation during a two-year stint at Basel before joining the Ligue 1 team in January.

He immediately adjusted to life in France, though, and in his 13 appearances in the second half of the previous season, he contributed two goals and one assist.

If an agreement can be reached this summer, the Kosovo international would give Arteta another option on the wing. He plays primarily on the right side but can also play on the other flank.

If the Gunners can sign Zhegrova for £6 million, it will be a smart move on their part because of his exceptional dribbling skills.

The Gunners are set to launch a new £30m bid for Youri Tielemans this week, SunSport can reveal.

The Gunners are confident of getting their man, who has rejected all contract offers from Leicester.

Another midfield target is Lyon’s Lucas Paqueta, who Mikel Arteta is said to be pushing hard to get.

Meanwhile, Lisandro Martinez and Ajax are set to make a decision on the player’s future destination this week, with Arsenal and Man Utd leading the chase.
