Jesus traveled to Qatar with the Brazil World Cup team. He started the group-stage match against Cameroon before suffering a knee injury in the second half. He will now spend some time on the sidelines after additional examinations revealed that he needed surgery.
Arteta is said to be considering four forwards for Arsenal to replace him.

The January transfer window is just over three weeks away, and it looks like Edu and Arteta are finalizing their plans.
The Gunners were expected to bring in a winger and a central midfielder in the winter window, but following Jesus’ injury blow, they may now have to focus their funds on a top-quality striker.
The report claims that Arteta has added four names to his wish list – Cody Gakpo, Dusan Vlahovic, Tammy Abraham, and Jonathan David.
The Gunners have been linked with all four players for quite a while now. The report reveals that two of them – Vlahovic and Abraham – have already rejected a move to the Emirates in the past.
Any of the four forwards mentioned above would be brilliant for Arsenal in January, but whether they can get any of them next month remains to be seen.
