Arsenal’s January transfer target makes demands to Mikel Arteta before he could sign

Arsenal’s January transfer target, Mykhaylo Mudryk is already making demands to Mikel Arteta before he could sign.

Mykhaylo Mudryk, a standout for Shakhtar Donetsk, is allegedly a target for Arsenal, but the 21-year-old wide forward has acknowledged he has some expectations before moving on.

The Gunners will be in first place on Christmas Day for the first time since the 2007–08 campaign as they presently lead the Premier League standings by five points.

In light of this, Mikel Arteta is rumored to be eager to make some crucial signings during the January transfer window in order to maintain Arsenal’s title challenge.

By bringing in another winger, he hopes to improve a position where he tried and failed to do so last summer.

Mudryk is undoubtedly well-regarded by those at the top of the Arsenal hierarchy, and it is said that his Ukrainian teammate and captain Oleksandr Zinchenko personally suggested him to the club.

Mudryk recently had a lengthy conversation with Zinchenko’s wife, Vlada Sedan, about his future.

During that conversation, Mudryk addressed the Arsenal connections and said that before signing any contracts, he would require guarantees from Arteta.

When asked if he follows the Arsenal carefully as a result of the rumors linking him to a move to north London and if he is aware of them, Mudryk replied to Sedan on Sedan’s YouTube channel: “Yeah. I check on them on MyScore and am aware that I may do so while they are playing.

“I also watch them too. They are a very dynamic side, in general not just in controlling possession but also in scoring goals.”

Mudryk further explained how it isn’t as simple as joining the moment Arsenal offer a deal.

“From a purely hypothetical perspective, if there was the option of being a bench player for Real Madrid or a starter for Arsenal, I’d probably choose Arsenal.

“But it’s a tough question and involves a lot of factors in my answer. I would first want to know from the head coach that even if I wasn’t a guaranteed starter, I’d receive a chance.

“Essentially I need to hear directly from the manager what he envisages my role in his side to be.”

He went on to explain how the brand of football on offer is of more importance to him than things like the stature of the club.
