Azimio accuses government of bringing hackers to temper with IEBC servers

Government has brought hackers into the country to interfere with the IEBC servers ahead of bipartisan talks according to Jeremiah Kioni

Government has brought hackers into the country to interfere with the IEBC servers ahead of bipartisan talks according to Jeremiah Kioni.

On Wednesday, April 12, Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni accused the administration of interfering with servers of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Speaking at the party headquarters, Kioni asserted that before the bipartisan negotiations with the opposition, the state had sent in persons to breach the system.

Given that the server’s opening was one of Azimio Chief Raila Odinga’s irreducible minimums, he said that the action was intended to conceal the truth.

“We know they have brought characters from out of the country yet again to try and tamper with the data but we will be able to detect it when we open the server,” Kioni alleged.

Meanwhile, Ruto’s administration and IEBC were yet to respond to allegations by Kioni.

Kioni further accused President William Ruto’s administration of foul play and trying to short-change Azimio and pointed out key red flags.

He was particularly displeased with the selection of Eldas Member of Parliament (MP) Adan Keynan, elected under a Jubilee party ticket, to represent Kenya Kwanza in the joint committee.

“We will not sit to negotiate with a committee composed of people from our party sitting on the other side.

“If you practice (political) adultery, you cannot come with your partner to a table where we are practicing good manners. There is no good faith, by picking a member of Jubilee is an indicator that they are not committed to this process,” he stated.

The former Ndaragua lawmaker reiterated Raila’s sentiments that all politicians who decamped to government should be ordered back to the opposition or resign from their seats.

Kioni’s statement comes after Azimio questioned President William Ruto’s attitude toward the talks.

They claimed that there was a sense of lackluster from the head of state.

Meanwhile, Azimio called for a public baraza at Kamukunji grounds on Sunday, April 16.
