Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has confirmed that blogger Aok Otieno is well, days after she was located on the Kenya-Tanzanian border.
The lawmaker was responding to a concerned X user who had raised pertinent concerns over the controversial blogger’s whereabouts.
The concerned Kenyan alluded to claims that Aoko’s mobile phone had been confiscated by the state and that no one where she was being detained.
In a quick response, Babu, known to be a bosom friend of Aoko, confirmed that she was okay.
The lawmaker did not, however, reveal much as regards her state or location.
“She is okay, bro,” Babu casually said.
Babu’s update came days after a purported aide to the blogger claimed she was found in the southern parts of the country.

Using Aoko’s X account, the aide shared that the blogger was found outside the gate of a hospital on the Kenya-Tanzanian border.
An unknown person left her there.
“She’s been found at the Kenyan-Tanzania border. Her family was called from a hospital. She was taken there by an unidentified person who said they found her outside their gate,” read the tweet from the aide.
The blogger went missing after sending a barrage of tweets against some imminent people in the Kenyan power circles.
Her latest disappearance came months after she was arrested and arraigned in Nairobi.
She faced charges of cyber harassment and defamation.
