Chelsea first summer signing to be tied up quickly after new owner confirmation
Chelsea first summer signing to be tied up quickly after the new owner confirmation by the government and Premier League.
Chelsea are soon expecting to be able to officially confirm the new ownership takeover at the club.
The confirmation will see Todd Boehly’s consortium take the reigns from Roman Abramovich.
There will be doubts about a number of current players, and it is expected that a number of new faces will emerge as well.
One player may be a defender who has been connected with us since last summer and who appeared to be close to joining.
According to Give Me Sport, Chelsea should complete this in the next window.
They report that Chelsea insiders believe a deal to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla will be agreed swiftly after the new owners have officially put their feet beneath the table.

Chelsea first summer signing
Figures within the Chelsea set-up expect a deal to be agreed upon very quickly after the new owners officially have their feet under the table.
With personal terms for Kounde pretty much sorted because of last year’s negotiations, a final fee just needs to be agreed with Sevilla. His release clause currently stands at €80m (£68.2m).
The player is said to still be interested in joining Chelsea as his next destination, despite their recent problems.
Chelsea is still considering other options, and it’s possible that they’ll sign two center defenders.
Chelsea are expected to contemplate a more significant signing, with sources claiming that Paris Saint-Germain vice-captain Presnel Kimpembe is a target that Thomas Tuchel has discussed with his staff.
There are also rumors about the pursuit of Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli, which should be regarded seriously.
