CS Duale goes after Uhuru Kenyatta over alleged opposition support
Aden Duale has slammed former President Uhuru Kenyatta for what he terms as undermining President William Ruto's administration
Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has slammed former President Uhuru Kenyatta for what he terms as undermining President William Ruto’s administration.
Speaking during a public event on Sunday, February 8, the Health boss claimed that the former President’s move to support the opposition signifies that he opposes President Ruto’s vision of distributing national resources fairly and being part of a group of political figures who believe in “shareholding.”
According to Duale, despite the resistance from the opposition camp, President William Ruto will not abdicate his mission to ensure that the nation is united and infrastructural developments are distributed equally.
“People who are going after the President are doing so because they are asking why he is distributing the national cake fairly, because they believe, including the former President Uhuru Kenyatta, that they believe in shareholding,” Duale said.
“As of today, the government has everyone onboard from all corners of the country, and even the opposition is in government as well as other parties, and the president will continue with his vision, and that is why some people are feeling shaken when some regions receive developments,” he added.

Duale asserted that the former president’s move to engineer a political ‘project’ in preparation for the highly anticipated 2027 General Elections, using figures from the opposition camp, will be futile, just like in 2022.
“In 2022, you had a project, and in 2027, I am seeing that you will have another project in 2027, but there is no problem, we will win against your project in 2027 just like we did in 2022,” Duale said.
The statement by Duale comes days after Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) deputy party leader, Cleophas Malala, claimed that DCP’s party leader is working closely with the former Head of State.
Speaking during an interview with TV47 on Wednesday, February 3, Malala said that it is just a matter of time before the two leaders officially unveil their ‘handshake.’
According to Malala, former Jubilee Secretary General, Jeremiah Kioni, had also been asked to reduce his criticism of Gachagua to pave the way for the political coalition between the two.
