A heartbreaking incident in Nyathuna, Kabete, has left the local community in shock after two men lost their lives in a 120-foot-deep water well.
The tragedy unfolded when Ian, a young man reportedly battling depression, attempted to take his own life by jumping into the well.
In a courageous effort to save him, his uncle, Robert Ngugu, volunteered to descend into the well.

However, the rescue attempt turned tragic as both men succumbed to a lack of oxygen before they could be pulled to safety.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but it was too late.
The bodies of the two victims were retrieved and taken to Kikuyu Hospital mortuary.
Authorities have since launched an investigation into the incident.
