A manhunt has been launched by Migori police for a father who fled after reportedly beating her daughter to death for spending the night at her boyfriend’s house.

It is reported that the seventeen-year-old girl, a student in Form Four, surreptitiously left their house after dinner.

However, things turned tragic after her father discovered she was not in the house.

It is reported that the enraged father searched Amoyo village at night for her, and when he was unable to locate her, he sat down in the compound and waited for her until she returned at roughly 4:30 in the morning.

The body has been taken to a local morgue awaiting postmortem examination.

The incident happened at Amoyo village, Got Kachola ward and police have already alerted elders and administration from nearby Tanzania to ensure the suspect is arrested.
