A female student kills self leaving behind a suicide note after being forced to school she rejected.

Police in Vijiweni, Likoni, Mombasa County are probing a suspected case of suicide where a 16-year-old girl was found hanging from a door frame with a bed sheet around her neck.

Police say the brother found her at the scene, removed the bedsheet from her neck and rushed her to St. Thomas Hospital.

She was, however, pronounced dead on arrival.

Upon visiting the scene, police recovered a suicide note which indicated her distress and feelings of abandonment.

“I told you what I was going through but you didn’t listen, I was tortured by those spirits and you didn’t help me and you still sent me back there to that school. I will no longer endure that pain, so this is goodbye,” the note read in part.

Police say the body was taken to Coast General Hospital pending autopsy.

Meanwhile in Busia, Namable division, an unknown 45-year-old male was discovered injured and malnourished on the roadside in Mungatsi.

Police officers from Nambale police station visited the scene and found the man who appeared malnourished, with visible injuries on his legs, ribs, and forehead.

Police say the victim was taken to Nambale Sub-County Hospital for treatment, and the case is under investigation.

Elsewhere in Nairobi, Kayole division, a 30-year-old man identified as Kuria Njuguna Gadiel, was rescued by police from a mob in Nasra Estate after attempting to break into a car.

According to police, the victim was found breaking into a car’s rear left glass window with the intent to steal items.

Police say the man was with two accomplices who escaped in another car.

Police officers from Soweto station processed the scene.

The victim was admitted in serious but stable condition at Mama Lucy Hospital and the case is pending investigation.

In Makueni, a resident discovered a man’s body while watering his farm along River Kati in Nthangu village.

The 40-year-old man, police said, had visible injuries on the back, ribs, and right hand, likely inflicted by a blunt object.

Police officers from Makueni station took the body to Makueni County Referral Hospital for identification and postmortem examination.

The case remains under investigation.
