Amina Mohamed, a former cabinet secretary for foreign affairs and sports, has been named to the Interpeace Governing Board, which is the organization’s top decision-making body.

Interpeace is an international organisation that deals with providing solutions to address conflict in violent-prone countries.

The organization has worked in regions including Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Latin America for more than 27 years.

The Amina Live Foundation, the former CS’s foundation, said in a statement that she was unanimously voted in by the other board members because of her vast diplomatic expertise.

“We are delighted to announce that Ambassador Amina Mohamed has been unanimously admitted to the Interpeace Governing Board,” the statement read in part.
