Four students killed in accident after being sent home over dormitory fire

Six people, among them four students from Dr Aggrey Boys’ High School in Wundanyi constituency, Taita Taveta County, have died after the bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident.
The accident occurred in the Josa area on the Wundanyi-Mwatate road when the minibus they were travelling in suffered brake failure and crashed at the dangerous Josa bend.
The students were returning home after a second fire incident at their school, which forced the school administration to close the institution and send students home.

Additionally, the driver of the minibus and a parent who had gone to pick up their child from the school also lost their lives.
The survivors were rushed to Moi Referral Hospital in Voi for treatment, with others taken to St. Joseph Mission Hospital in Voi.
