Gachagua to represent Kenya at the Forbes Under 30 Africa Summit in Botswana.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has today morning left the country for Botswana where he’s representing President William Ruto at the Forbes 30 Under 30 Africa Summit.
The 5-day summit brings together the world’s most elite young entrepreneurs and game-changers from more than 40 countries, to celebrate and learn from each other, inspiring the newest and next generation of leaders.
Speakers will be drawn from government, venture capital, and business role models.
The summit will provide inspiration to the newest and the next generation of leaders.
The summit recognizes innovative young entrepreneurs in various fields such as tech, culture, sports, health, and science.
Gachagua plans to meet and listen to Kenyans living in Botswana on the sidelines of the summit.
Principal Secretary of State Department for Diaspora Affairs Roseline Njogu said the DP will be meeting Kenyans living in the country on Saturday.
“Kenyans in Botswana! DP Rigathi Gachagua is coming to meet you this Saturday! Looking forward to seeing you all!” she tweeted

According to Rigathi, “Youth entrepreneurship is central to transforming Kenya and Africa and is essential in addressing unemployment, which stands at 12.7% in the continent. The Ruto Administration’s Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda is contributing to Africa’s upward trajectory.”
Forbes launched its 30 Under 30 list in 2011 under the direction of Randall Lane, Editor in Chief of Forbes Magazine.
30 under 30 in Forbes features a list of 600 individuals under the age of 30 each year, who have impactful careers and accomplishments across a span of industries.
This month the Summit has returned to Africa, the world’s greatest growth market.
The first-ever Forbes Under 30 Summit Africa was held in April 2022, in Botswana.
It brought together entrepreneurs from more than 40 countries.
