Government announces over 200 jobs across multiple ministries
The government has announced over 300 vacancies across multiple ministries, state corporations, and public universities in a major recruitment drive to curb the country’s unemployment crisis.
The Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) is looking to fill the position of Deputy Director of Human Resource Management and Development, a KNQA Grade 3 post. Applicants must have a Master’s degree and ten years of relevant work experience, with applications due by March 17.
The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), in a separate notice, is seeking 228 consulting positions for road design projects totalling approximately 815 kilometres in consultancy positions. The World Bank-funded projects cover key corridors in the Lake Victoria Basin and include fibre optic cable installation.
Individuals interested in KeNHA positions must demonstrate at least eight years of road design experience. The deadline for submission of interest for these consultancy services varies by project, with some closing in mid-March.
On the other hand, the Affordable Housing Board (AHB) is recruiting a Chief Executive Officer, AHB Grade 1, to serve as the accounting officer for the newly established State Corporation.
The position requires a strategic leader to oversee the authority’s mandate of providing accessible housing, whose application deadline is on March 10.

At the same time, the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) has advertised the CEO position, with the successful candidate set to serve a four-year contract.
SASRA seeks an individual with a decade of experience in financial management to regulate the SACCO sector, with the application deadline being March 18.
Similarly, the Teachers Service Commission has announced five job openings, among them Principal ICT Officer and Fleet Management roles at Grade 7, and is inviting applications through its website by March 9.
Kenya Trade Network Agency (KTNA) is also hiring an Internal Auditor for Information Systems on permanent terms.
The successful candidate must meet Chapter Six requirements and hold certification in information systems audit in order to get this role.
Multimedia University of Kenya has six senior positions open, including Registrar and Principal Procurement Officer at Grade MNT 14 and 15.
Applications must reach the Vice Chancellor by March 18. Likewise, Kenyatta University, through its North Coast Beach Hotel, is recruiting for seven hospitality positions ranging from Chef De Partie to Laundry Attendant. The deadline for these applications is March 12. Applications should be emailed to the CEO by March 9 at 5 pm.
The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) is recruiting an Assistant Fitness Officer and a Senior Systems Analyst. Interested applicants should forward their documents to the Director by March 6.
The National Commission for Science, Technology, and Innovation (NACOSTI) is seeking a Chairperson and three board members.
Applicants must hold advanced degrees and meet Chapter Six requirements, with applications closing March 18.
The Kenya National Innovation Agency (KeNIA) also wants a Chairperson and four board members to steer the innovation agenda. The deadline for online applications through the KeNIA careers portal is March 17.
All government agencies have warned applicants against paying any fees for job applications. Successful candidates will be required to present clearance documents, including Certificate of Good Conduct and Tax Compliance certificates.
