In a notice issued on Saturday, June 21, the State Department for Diaspora Affairs urged Kenyans to register their details for easier assistance.
“For your safety and to ensure we can assist you promptly in case of any emergency or distress, we kindly ask you to register your details with the State Department for Diaspora Affairs,” the department stated.
The department also shared links and contacts for Kenyans living in both Iran and Israel to register for evacuation.
Kenyans living in Iran can access the Kenyan Embassy via +98 21 88667394 or +98 21 88667368, or their email.

Kenyan citizens living in Israel are urged to contact the Kenyan Embassy using +972 3 5754633 or +972 54 691 4773 or via their email, while the diaspora affairs’ contacts are +254 207 876 000 or +254 114 757 002.
These plans came after the department, on June 18, urged Kenyans living in both countries to prioritise their safety and exercise caution.
“In light of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, the State Department for Diaspora Affairs issues the following urgent advisory to all Kenyan nationals in Israel and Iran,” the advisory reads.
The government instructed Kenyans in the two countries to ensure they had essential documents and supplies ready, and to avoid non-essential movement.
Citizens were also urged to closely monitor local media and alerts, and to follow instructions issued by local authorities.
Last week, Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Sing’oei called for the restoration of peaceful relations between Israel and Iran following Israeli air strikes that killed senior Iranian military officials.
“We are following with deep concern the escalating situation in the Middle East that has the potential to spiral out of control with grievous implications for regional and global peace and security,” he stated.
There has been significant displacement of residents in Iran and Israel as a result of the conflict. According to the report, over 100,000 residents have fled Tehran after several Israeli evacuation warnings.
