Dennis Itumbi launches a counter website to collect signatures from Kenyans to stop Uhuru, Raila, and Kalonzo pension benefits.
Former president Uhuru Kenyatta, Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga, and Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka are all targets of a campaign started by digital strategist Dennis Itumbi that aims to prevent them from obtaining their pension benefits.
Itumbi posted a link to the ‘babatumechoka’ project, which was brought on by the trio’s ongoing involvement in divisive politics, incitement, and violence.
“Having read and understood the intention of the promoters of this initiative, I hereby support the citizen’s initiative to stop the pension benefits of Mr Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila Odinga, and Kalonzo Musyoka as per the law established, for their continuous involvement in destructive politics, incitement and violence”
For one to make a submission they will require to key in their details including their ID Number, Name, Phone number, County, Constituency, and Ward names before appending their signature and submitting.
Raila Odinga has been receiving monthly pensions since he retired as a Prime Minister in 2012 and his counterpart Kalonzo retired as Vice President in 2013.
According to the stipulations made in the Presidential Retirement Benefits Act (2003), a retired president is entitled to receive a lump sum retirement package which is calculated as a sum equal to one year’s salary for each term served as President.
Uhuru Kenyatta served for 10 years meaning he received about Ksh.34.56 million.
In the package, President Kenyatta is entitled to be receiving a total of Ksh.1.15 million in monthly pension.

He would also receive monthly entertainment and fuel allowance at the rate of Ksh.216,000 each and a house allowance at the rate of Ksh.331,200 per month.
Also as enshrined in the Retirement Benefits Act 2015, a retired Prime Minister and VP are entitled to a monthly pension equal to 80% of the monthly salary of the entitled person’s last monthly salary while in office.
This comes days after Raila Odinga launched a similar website “Tumechoka.com” to collect signatures for Ruto’s impeachment.
The Azimio leaders claimed Ruto isn’t fit to rule as Kenyans are going through hard times since he took office and also with the finance Bill which imposes more taxes on Kenyans.
