Karua to address press regarding dialogue report

Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua will today address the press regarding the final National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report

Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua will today address the press regarding the final National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report.

The Narc Kenya party leader had recently rejected the report by the committee chaired by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah

She termed the dialogue report recommendations as unacceptable.

“I find the NADCO report troubling, problematic, and unacceptable. A more detailed statement loading in the coming week,” Karua said on X.

A few days before it was released, Karua said she would reject the report if it did not address the high cost of living.

“Any purported agreement that does not immediately impact on the cost of living, electoral justice, and respect for multiparty.

The report, compiled by a 10-member team, provided recommendations on various issues including matters of elections management, economic recovery strategy and cost of living.

Karua who was Raila’s running mate in the 2022 Kenyan election recently formed a political team, ”Kamwene” group to champion for the interests of Mt Kenya.

The outfit is seen as a splinter group from Azimio with almost all members consisting of politicians from Mt Kenya region.

Interesting, Karua has not been attending press briefings organised by Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
