Ken Mijungu is set to join TV47 days after Standard Group exit leaving his role at KTN after four years.
Mijungu was unveiled as a new signing by Cape Media on Friday, February 7.
The media house also revealed that the news anchor would commence his work from mid-February.
“It’s official! Cape Media is happy to announce that Ken Mijungu will be joining the TV47 team, on the same day the station announced that TV47 will be moving from Channel 268 to Channel 274, on DSTV from February 12, 2025,” read the statement in part.
“These come as part of the plans to make TV47 Bigger, Better and Bolder!”

Mijungu’s unveiling came days after the news anchor announced that he was leaving his role at KTN News after four years.
In his farewell message, Mijungu thanked his colleagues for supporting him during his tenure at the media house based along Mombasa Road.
“A good dancer knows when to exit the stage! Four years of absolute adrenaline and nothing but the best—as unpredictable as it was. It’s time to find something else to do while I still can,” the journalist wrote on his X page.
“Forever grateful to God, my colleagues Standard Group, and KTN News. Adios.”
