Kenya Kwanza warns Uhuru on Retirement protection

Kenya Kwanza warns Uhuru on Retirement protection, saying it will be dependent on his behavior ahead of the August 9 polls.

Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza coalition has now warned President Uhuru Kenyatta that he risks losing key privileges on his retirement.

Speaking on 29, July during a campaign rally in Nandi, Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetangula said President Uhuru Kenyatta’s protection in retirement will be dependent on his behaviour.

According to Wetangula, Uhuru has been holding unauthorized night meetings with the goal of allegedly manipulating the upcoming elections.

He issued a warning that Uhuru would lose the important advantages they promised him if he keeps engaging in what he described as “criminal actions.”

“Mr. President, you only have 10 days to go and it is most unfortunate you are now engaged in unlawful night meetings to subvert elections.

“We want to tell you you enjoy immunity of law, you enjoy immunity from prosecution. We have said we will respect and protect you in your retirement, it is only subject to your correct behaviour,” he added.

Wetangula urged Uhuru to stop the night meetings, adding that nothing can be done at this point to salvage Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s defeat.

“In the remaining days, no matter what you do, ‘Bwana Kitendawili’ will retire, he is going home like you are going home,” he said.
