Kenya needs more prisons to lock those plundering the economy – Anglican Bishop Kodia
Bishop Reverend David Kodia now says Kenya needs to build more prisons to lock people who are embezzling from the economy.
Bondo Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Diocese Bishop Reverend David Kodia now says Kenya needs to build more prisons to lock people who are embezzling from the economy.
Speaking on Wednesday, December 17 night at JKLive, Bishop Kodia said Kenya does not need more stadiums, but more prisons to hold those plundering the economy.
“We may not need many stadia in Kenya, but we may need more prisons to lock in those who are plundering our economy,” said the Bondo ACK Bishop.
At the same time, Bishop Kodia faulted investigative agencies in the country, saying they are not functioning.
The Bishop went on to claim that every system in the country is corrupted, including the Judiciary.
“They are known, and if at all, the investigative arm of the government is functioning, then we should be seeing them on the dock every other day.
“What we are seeing is that every system is corrupted. You go to the judiciary, there is no justice there, justice is on sale. You go to the investigative arm of the government, they only target those people who are not in the good book with the system,” he stated.
Reverend Kodia warned that Kenya risks losing the war against corruption and suggested that Kenyans do some soul-searching and reflect on themselves.

Further, Bishop Kodia said Kenya is wealthy and has the capability to get to the level of Singapore.
He mentioned that the country has many resources and an educated population that can spur the country’s growth.
“Kenya is a wealthy nation; we can reach the level of Singapore, we have enormous resources in the country, we have the highest level of educated people in Africa, so many universities producing graduates every year,” Bishop Kodia added.
His remarks come months after he received a standing ovation during the State Funeral of the late Raila Odinga at Nyayo Stadium.
In a powerful sermon during the service, Reverend Kobia boldly called out leaders who are accused of looting public resources.
The Bondo ACK Bishop emphasized that any leader who misuses public resources should be condemned and held accountable.
