Kenya Power lists six counties to experience power shutdown over scheduled planned maintenance on Tuesday.

KPLC has issued a notice informing Kenyans of power interruptions in select parts of the country.

The utility firm, in a statement, said there would be a scheduled outage from morning to evening on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, in parts of six counties.

The regions to be impacted include Nairobi, North Eastern, South Nyanza, Mt Kenya region, and Coast region.

KPLC said the areas affected in the regions will have interruptions at diverse times of the day.

Kenya Power said the counties to have interruptions include Nairobi, Kiambu, Migori, Homa Bay, Embu, and Kilifi counties.

Areas in Nairobi to experience interruptions include parts of Umoja, Mwangaza School, and Busara School.

Peter Kibukosya School, Busara School, Umoja 2 Market 1 and 2, Twinkid School, Rosslyn Lone Tree, Nyari West, Ruaka Groove, Riviera Mall, Gachie, and Embassy of Switzerland among others will experience interruptions from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 pm.

Areas in Kiambu to have power interruptions include Sigona, Zambezi, Nderi, KEFRI, KARI, KEPHIS, Rumwe, Kamangu, Runana, Ting’ang’a Market, Ngemwa, St. Joseph the Worker, Gituamba, Ngemwa Police and Ting’ang’a from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Kakrao, Rayudhi, Kisugunua, God Jope, Got Kachola and Mwisho wa Lami in Migori county will have power interruptions from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.

Areas in Homa Bay to have power interruptions include Gogo Katuma, Wiobiero Primary School, Minambo Dispensary and adjacent areas will experience power interruptions from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Kenya Power said areas in Embu including Don Bosco Melino Felice Mission, Embu Airstrip, Don Bosco Girls and Boys, Rianjeru, Embu Mbleere Hospice, Mashariki Rubber, Yonder Farm, and Kabage Cooling Plant will have power interruptions from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Parts of Kilifi to have power interruptions include North Coast Beach Hotel, Royal Reserve, Gurdum Villa, Salama Beach, Mwendo wa Panya, Ndodo, St. Mathew’s, Kanamai, Timboni, Safi Sana Limited, Barani, Rembo Apts, Kariuki, Charity People, Mwavitswa, Toto Dogo, Barani, EPZ, Mombasa Apparel, My Pasta, Mega Apparel and Mwananchi Bakery among others from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
