Tourism Board invites Manchester City Kalvin Phillips after picking Kenya as a favourite holiday destination.

The Kenya Tourism Board on Monday, January 29 invited West Ham midfielder Kalvin Phillips to revisit the country.

This is after the English international named Kenya his preferred holiday destination during a quick-fire interview after joining West Ham on loan from Manchester City.

“What is your favourite holiday destination?”, the interviewer asked Phillips answered “Kenya” without hesitating.

In a statement, the tourism board asked Phillips to bring the whole West Ham team with him to Kenya when he visits again.

“Hey Kalvin Phillips, come kick it in Kenya again sometime soon and bring the whole West Ham team with you!” the tourism board statement.

Kenyans were also elated with the West Ham star for recognizing Kenya as his best holiday destination.

The former Leeds player’s connection with Kenya dates back to July 2022 when he visited the country and spent two weeks.

During the visit, Phillips who was in the company of his girlfriend toured the Tsavo National Park and stayed at a luxurious camp within the destination.

“The past two weeks we traveled to Kenya on a Safari which was an experience I don’t think we will ever be able to top!! Me and Ashleigh absolutely love animals so having the chance to do our best David Attenborough is something we won’t ever forget seeing these animals in the wild was unreal! ” Phillips stated then.

He added, ” We also had the opportunity to visit a Masai village. It was an incredible time learning about the history of the tribe. Experiences like this really put things into perspective and the people were so welcoming.”
