Makueni man hospitalised after mysteriously cutting off his testicle
Residents of Kyandulu village in Nguumo location, Makueni County, were left in shock after a middle-aged man allegedly cut off one of his testicles under unclear circumstances.
According to witnesses, the bizarre incident unfolded quietly before the man disappeared from his home. His mother recounted discovering a blood-stained knife and what appeared to be a piece of flesh outside the victim’s house. “At first, we couldn’t find him and feared the worst,” she said.

A frantic search began after his brother, who was in disbelief over what had happened, alerted family members. Hours later, the injured man was traced several kilometers away, weak and bleeding.
He was rushed to Makindu Sub-County Hospital for urgent treatment, where medics confirmed he had sustained a severe self-inflicted injury. His condition remains critical and the motive behind the act is still unknown.
The incident has left villagers puzzled, with many speculating on what could have driven the man to such an extreme act.
