Police launch investigations after man collapses, while drinking with friends at a local bar in Homa Bay.

An inquiry has been opened by the police in Rachuonyo East, Homa Bay County, over the mysterious death of a 45-year-old man who passed away on Tuesday night in a local bar in Ringa Trading Center.

According to reports, the man identified as Kennedy Onyango collapsed and died on the spot as he was drinking alcohol at the bar together with his friends at about 8pm.

Foam was visible around the deceased’s mouth  after he had died according to Kawere sub-location Assistant Chief Juma Ondoro.

The administrator said they have taken some samples of the alcohol that the man and his friends were drinking for a test.

The matter has since been handed over to Rachuonyo East sub-county police who have launched investigations to establish the exact cause of death.

The body has been taken to Rachuonyo South Level IV hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
