A decomposing body of a man has been discovered in a forest in Makueni county days after he disappeared from home.
The man identified as Patrick Tito, the now-deceased is said to have had a fight with his wife before leaving their matrimonial home in the Ikangavya locale.
Confirming the incident, Ikangavya area administrator Stella Nthiwa said the man had allegedly assaulted his wife before leaving.
“Tito left home in a huff moments after allegedly assaulting his wife,” the area administrator said.

The main is said to have informed his parents of the happenings at his home and vowed not to go back.
He instead opted to disappear into the Makuli forest in the neighbouring Nzaui village.
Residents stumbled on his body days later, with the police suspecting he harmed himself.
The body was ferried to the Makueni Referral Hospital morgue as investigations into death began.
The chief called on the locals to seek counsel whenever they faced adversities in life.
