Manchester United transfer round-up as Fabrizio offers Sesko update

Manchester United transfer round-up as they prepare ‘final offer’ for Frenkie de Jong and other transfer rumors

According to reports, Manchester United is putting the finishing touches on its bid for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

The Reds and De Jong have been involved in a transfer controversy all summer long.

United and the midfielder reached an agreement on a price in principle in June, but since then, the process has stopped.

There may be a dispute about the €17 million in salaries that Barcelona is allegedly owing to De Jong.

Sport claims that United, though, is willing to make the Dutchman their highest-paid player.

De Jong would then be making a staggering £ 450,000 a week as a result.

Meanwhile, should the deal for De Jong not go through reports suggest that United will try and sign Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

According to Area Napoli, United could be able to sign Ruiz for £21m. The 26-year-old made 32 appearances in Serie A last season scoring seven goals and four assists.

Fabrizio on Sesko update

Manchester United have also approached Benjamin Sesko’s representatives ahead of a potential move to the Premier League, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano took to Twitter on Saturday evening to provide an update on United and Sesko.

He claimed that ‘approaches with player side’ have continued with the player definitely on the Red Devils’ list, although a transfer isn’t straightforward as Salzburg would ideally want to cash in on the teenager next year.
