Manhunt on for man who fled after digging up child’s grave in Keiyo South
Police in Keiyo South Sub-County, Elgeyo Marakwet County, have launched a manhunt for a man who is alleged to have illegally exhumed the body of his child in the Chepsigot area.
The incident is said to have occurred on January 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., when the suspect, identified as Oliver Kiprop, allegedly dug up the body of his male child who died in 2022.

After the incident, the suspect fled and went into hiding.
The body was moved to the Iten mortuary for preservation and arrangements for reburial after the shocking incident.
