Miguna accuses courts of victimizing DJ Evolve in the case against Babu Owino

Lawyer Miguna Miguna reacts to DJ Evolve's statement against Babu Owina over his shooting as disgusting

Lawyer Miguna Miguna reacts to DJ Evolve’s statement against Babu Owina over his shooting as disgusting.

Lawyer Miguna Miguna now says that it is disgusting that Felix Orinda, alias DJ Evolve is being victimized for a second time.

The lawyer claims that Evolve is a victim of two crimes under judicial oversight.

“As it is right now, DJ Evolve is being victimized twice – with the supervision of the Courts! Completely disgusting! I want to vomit!” Miguna said.

Miguna was responding to the DJ’s claim that Babu Owino did not have a gun when the incident took place.

In their testimony on Thursday, Evolve said that they had known the MP for a long time and had been looking out for him by paying his medical bills and making sure he had all he needed.

“When I met Owino, he had no gun at the Club and I never saw a firearm that shot me”.

“I was having conversations and the next thing I was in a vehicle going to the hospital. I did not see where the bullet came from,” Orinda testified.

Evolve, who was allegedly shot by MP Babu Owino, should have been protected by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, according to Miguna.

He further stated that the case’s ballistic forensic experts rather than DJ Evolve’s evidence should be relied upon by the court.

“This isn’t a case that requires DJ Evolve to testify. Babu would be convicted even if DJ Evolve was dead or incapable of speaking or comprehending what was going on. But Kenya’s legal system is broken and rife with ineptness and corruption. DJ Evolve should have been under protection by the ODPP_KE.

“There should have been a strict restraining order preventing Babu Owino from communicating with DJ Evolve – directly or independently – in order to preserve the integrity of the system, evidence, and witnesses,” Miguna said.
