In a tweet, Kuria recalled his role during Saba Saba Day in 1990, where he joined the likes of Jaromogi Oginga Odinga and James Orengo in fighting the KANU regime.
Kuria stated that veteran politicians, including him, who took part in the struggle for democracy, cannot support any form of abduction in the country.
“On Saba Saba Day 1990, I was a prospective University of Nairobi Student but as a young activist who would rise to be SONU 92 Treasurer, I was trusted by akina Jaramogi, Wangari Maathai, Ngengi Muigai, James Orengo etc to coordinate Kiambu and Muranga Maandamanos. I am sure the entire team of my seniors then DO NOT approve the abductions of today,” Kuria said.
