MP who sponsored impeachment against CS Linturi claims his life is in danger
2 min readMP Jack Wamboka claims his life is in danger following his motion to impeach Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi.
Jack Wamboka, the Member of Parliament for Bumula Constituency, has raised concerns about his safety, stating that he feels his life is at risk following his motion to impeach Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi.
Wamboka disclosed that he has taken steps to increase his security measures due to being followed by unidentified individuals and unmarked vehicles.
In addition to addressing his safety concerns, the MP criticised social media bloggers who falsely claimed that his wife had faced charges in court.
“It has been challenging. It’s not been easy. I have been followed by unmarked cars and strange people, but we will soldier on. I am sure you have seen bloggers on social platforms maligning my name trying to purport that my wife was charged somewhere. My wife is public knowledge,” he stated.
Despite facing alleged threats to his life, Wamboka remains resolute in his commitment to advocate for the people of Kenya and uphold integrity.
“I know it comes with what I signed for. I want to declare my commitment that I would soldier on for the people of Kenya, and for the integrity of the Republic of Kenya,” he added.

In addition, the Bumula MP blasted CS Linturi for constantly implicating Aldai MP Marianne Keitany in his impeachment motion.
Speaking during Linturi’s impeachment trial, Wamboka said the defence submitted by the CS linked Kaitany to his troubles, which he said was unfair.
He told him to stop bringing up his private life to matters of national importance, anytime a serious issue arose.
“These are grievous matters of national importance to be reduced to love matters ukiachwa achika. It is indeed unfair to keep dragging Mariane into this matter. It should be unfair for your private life to come up anytime a serious concern arises,” Wamboka said.
