Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu now says the people of Mt Kenya region are currently regretting voting for President Ruto

Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu now says the people of Mt Kenya region are currently regretting voting for President Ruto.

Speaking in Ruiru on Friday, Waititu alleged the people who voted for the current regime during the last General Elections are yet to enjoy the fruits of their support.

“We the people of Mt Kenya region regret electing this government as our people in Nairobi and other areas are suffering,” Waititu said.

He further urged DP Rigathi Gachagua to continue pushing for the implementation of one man, one vote, one shilling.

He said that the Mt Kenya region should speak in one voice noting that the region should field a presidential candidate in 2027.

Waititu said that the people of Nairobi must speak in one voice and elect the next governor from Mt Kenya.

He further said the people of Mt Kenya region should prepare themselves to elect the next Nairobi governor.

“We people of Mt Kenya region must be supported in 2027 the same way we support other communities, the next governor must be from Mt Kenya,” Waititu said.
