In a video, which has drawn widespread outrage, the ODM lawmaker is seen in a vehicle being driven on the wrong side of the road.
The car carrying Madowo, which was on the correct lane, refused to make way for the MP’s vehicle, triggering a tense exchange between the two sides.
Madowo pulled out his phone to record the incident but upon noticing this, Orero, seated in the passenger seat, lashed out at the journalist.
“Take [that video] to President William Ruto,” Orero and his driver could be heard saying during the altercation.
The provocation sparked a heated back-and-forth between the two.
Madowo, visibly unfazed, responded sharply: “Okay, I will take it to Ruto, that’s the only thing that you are afraid of?”
The MP’s vehicle then drove off as the driver hurled insults at Madowo.
Many social media users expressed frustration over the conduct of the legislator, describing it as reckless and unbecoming of a public leader.
“That is an MP, a Kenyan leader. Kenyans have every reason to be worried,” Chrispory Ker commented.
Naomi Kingola added, “A whole MP? Is he not supposed to lead by example? Now I am convinced why Gen Z can never trust these leaders! I sigh.”
Monicah Njagi echoed similar sentiments, lamenting the disregard for public safety.
“Not even a thought of how many Kenyan lives they have endangered with such. Who will deliver us?” she wrote.

This comes a month after drama unfolded at a funeral in Kisii County after Kitutu Chache South MP Antoney Kibagendi and his Kitutu Chache North counterpart Japheth Nyakundi clashed in front of mourners.
In a viral video circulating on social media, the two lawmakers were seen standing on the podium before Kibagendi launched a scathing attack against President William Ruto.
“We were hoodwinked as a community and as a nation to elect a president who is a liar,” Kibagendi said before Nyakundi interjected.
The two leaders continued speaking simultaneously, each holding a microphone, as tension built up among the mourners.
The situation escalated when the MPs began pushing each other across the podium, drawing cheers from sections of the crowd.
At one point, Nyakundi attempted to shove Kibagendi off the raised podium, prompting their security teams to rush forward and separate them.
The confrontation happened during the burial of Salome Ongwae, the stepmother to former Kisii Governor James Ongwae.
