Oscar Sudi mocks Kenyans deported from Tanzania “I would have caned you”

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has weighed in on the recent deportation of Kenyans from Tanzania, including Senior Counsel Martha Karua and former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga.
Speaking on Wednesday, May 21, Sudi expressed support for the actions taken by the Tanzanian government and criticizing those involved.
The MP wittingly stated that if it was up to him, he would have had the deported individuals caned.
“If it was up to me, I would have caned them. They should have received two strokes each so that they return to the country when they have respect,” said the MP.
Sudi emphasized the importance of respecting the internal affairs of other nations, and cautioned Kenyans against interfering in foreign politics.
“Let us not interfere with the internal affairs of other countries; Tanzania is a better country, a place like West Africa, you are not even allowed to discuss the politics of the region,” he added.
Sudi went on to commend Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu for her firm leadership and for safeguarding her country’s interests.
“Congratulations Mama Samia Suluhu for being brave and protecting your country. Let’s focus on domestic priorities, refraining from interference in external affairs to prevent unnecessary diplomatic tensions. Continue dealing with them, Mama,” he stated.
Speaking on Monday, May 19, Samia defended her government’s actions, citing concerns over foreign interference in Tanzania’s internal affairs.

“We have started seeing activists from our region invading and getting involved in our internal issues. If they have been controlled in their country, let them not come to mess ours,” she said.
While the deportation of Karua and Mutunga sparked regional debate, Samia framed the issue as a matter of national stability.
She noted that Tanzania is the only country that has not been destabilized by activists, further urging authorities to stop such attempts.
“We should not allow them; they have already destabilized their country. The only country that has not been destabilized, where people are peaceful, is here (Tanzania).
“There have been several attempts, but I want to urge the authorities not to allow people from other countries to come and destabilize this country,” she added.
